Exhibition Review (Revision)
National Museum of Women in the Arts Unfortunately, I wasn't able to travel to the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center so instead, I did some research and found an art center that is currently closed right now due to renovations but is offering online exhibitions. The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) is the only major museum in the world solely dedicated to championing women through the arts. On the website, you can find various exhibitions that showcase several different mediums of art and women artists. The exhibition that I chose to dive into is called Girlhood by Mary Ellen Mark. Her exhibition includes photographs of young women and girls that capture the essence of girlhood. She traveled all over from the streets of Seattle to India to capture each individual from 1950 up until 2015.
